JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER JOB LOCATION: NEWARK, NJ WAGE RANGE*: 60.00-64.00 PER HOUR JOB NUMBER: SAIJP00038765 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of experience managing IT projects, including scope, schedule, and budget PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments Led cross-functional coordination across Workplace, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver identity-driven access and endpoint modernization efforts Strong understanding of project management methodologies and PMO processes Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership Experience managing project financials, including forecasting and variance analysis Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated customer-facing experience Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Primavera or similar project management tools Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards JOB DESCRIPTION Project Manager to lead large-scale IT initiatives supporting utility clients and critical energy infrastructure programs. This role focuses on delivering complex, high-impact projects across multiple business areas, including grid modernization, enterprise systems, and customer-facing platforms, within a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Lead cross-functional project teams, managing scope, schedule, cost, and contract compliance while serving as the primary customer interface Plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale IT projects across the full project lifecycle Develop and maintain project management plans, ensuring alignment with organizational and PMO standards Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders Establish and manage work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and resource plans in coordination with project schedulers Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, tracking actuals, and reporting accruals Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; proactively manage issues and dependencies Ensure requirements are gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with established processes Lead governance reviews and provide regular status reporting, dashboards, and executive-level communications Monitor project progress, milestones, and deliverable quality to ensure successful outcomes Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting utility or energy sector clients Experience managing large, complex, or multi-year programs Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities * While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
