Job Type: Part-time
Job Location: U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday from 7PM to 10PM
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable an Engineering Tutor (Statics) Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various academic subjects and the ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students preparing for standardized tests. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to work effectively with students of all ages, including children and adults.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum for test preparation with a focus on Statics.
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions focused on improving students' understanding of key concepts in Statics.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Engage with students to build confidence and motivation in their academic pursuits.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching with a focus on test preparation.
