LucyRx is seeking a motivated and creative AI Summer College Intern to join our team in Bethesda, MD. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside our executive leadership, marketing, and clinical teams to help design and develop innovative AI-powered products that support the LucyRx mission of transforming pharmacy benefits management. The intern will gain hands-on experience applying artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to real-world healthcare challenges in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
The internship runs through July 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on school schedule and program fit. Three-month term maximum.
Success in this role means delivering at least one working prototype or proof-of-concept, contributing to ongoing AI projects, and presenting findings and learnings to the team at the end of the internship.

This position is onsite in Bethesda, MD


Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership, marketing, and clinical teams to build prototypes and proofs-of-concept that explore AI-driven product ideas aligned with the LucyRx mission.
  • Support the design, development, and testing of AI-powered tools and features that improve the pharmacy benefits management experience for clients, members, and clinical partners.
  • Assist with use case analysis and research on AI/ML trends, healthcare technology, and the competitive landscape to support the team's product work.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, product roadmap discussions, and cross-functional team meetings.
  • Help create documentation, presentations, and visual assets to communicate AI product concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of social media content for specific LucyRx initiatives, including employer brand, product announcements, and mission-driven campaigns, across Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok, with a strong intuition for platform-native formats, trends, and engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to prompt engineering, data analysis, or workflow automation projects as assigned.
  • Deliver one to two tangible outputs over the course of the internship (e.g., a working demo, proof-of-concept, or internal tool) and present findings to the team.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data-driven product development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) a plus.
  • Highly intuitive with social media platforms including Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok, with the ability to create platform-appropriate content that aligns with brand voice and campaign goals.
  • Basic familiarity with Python, SQL, or data analysis (relevant coursework is sufficient).
  • Ability to commit to the full internship term (through July 31, 2026), with potential for extension.

Physical Requirements
