Protecting our investors from risk requires clear goals, big ideas and resolute action. As part of the Engineering track, you'll build security-focused technology solutions that keep Vanguard safe day in and day out. Vanguard's College to Corporate Internship Program is an immersive, hands-on experience at one of the world's leading investment firms. Extensive training, real-world experience, hands-on opportunities and mentorship from professionals will all aid in broadening your technical expertise. You'll receive exposure to the software life cycle and positively impact our clients through exciting assignments. Make it count!

In this internship you will:

  • Build high-impact solutions that enable Vanguard to perform at its best and do what's right for investors

  • Support achieving client outcomes and giving our investors the best chance at investment success

  • Gain hands-on experience in software development and practice Agile & LEAN methodologies in a dynamic environment

  • Share insights anddrive outcomes individually and incollaborative,supportiveenvironments

  • Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders and peers

  • Meet regularly with your department manager and internship program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship

What it takes

  • In pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity or related technical/engineering subject matter required

  • Strong interest in web, mobile, and/or application development

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations

  • Effective analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a team-oriented environment
