Job description

Risen Line Solutions is seeking two Robotics Software Engineer Interns to support the development of an advanced, AI-enabled mailroom screening and automation platform.
This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in real-world robotics system development, bridging the gap between academic theory and operational deployment. As an intern, you will work with experienced engineers contributing to system integration, software development, and testing of robotics and AI-enabled screening technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and testing software modules supporting robotic inspection workflows
  • Support integration of vision systems, sensors, and robotic components
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and performance evaluation efforts
  • Help document system behavior, configurations, and test results
  • Contribute to debugging and troubleshooting
  • Assist in prototyping and refining automation workflows for mailroom screening
  • Observe and support field-oriented concepts such as calibration, deployment readiness, and system configuration

Qualifications to be successful in the role:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field preferably at least in a junior level
  • Programming experience in Python and/or C++
  • Basic understanding of software development fundamentals
  • Exposure to robotics, embedded systems, or hardware-software integration concepts
