Key Accountabilities

Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Luminant personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.
EIT (Engineer in Training) Program.Incumbents will rotate through the different areas of the plant to gain a working knowledge of those areas of the plant.Areas include, but are not limited to Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Reliability and Chemical / Environmental
Will be assigned various engineering projects.
Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) areNOTeligible for this internship.
Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Access desired
Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems
Excellent verbal & written communication skills; presentation skills desired
Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date
Must be in good academic standing with your school
