Job description

The Equipment Programmer is responsible for developing and optimizing programs that control the operation of the equipment, and their key responsibilities are as follows:
  • Create drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Developing and revising software programs that allows the equipment to operate and perform specific movements for that individual process.
  • Program Amada EMK, Amada Pega, the new Amada 6k Fiber Laser, Standard & Niagara Press Brakes, RAS MiniBender, Schechtl & Schroder Folders, and Orion Cobot
  • Understanding what is required from our customers and being able to translate that information into a fully executable software program and relatable equipment.
  • Responsible for launching new products into production which may include developing new tooling and programming.
  • Conduct trial or simulations of those programs on the actual equipment including set up, run times and quality assurance of the part.
  • Training Manufacturing Team Members & Supervision on new operator controls or software upgrades and overall operation of equipment.
  • Including quality assurance of all custom components meeting customers' requirements.
  • Working with outside Suppliers and Technicians to troubleshoot Equipment.
  • Maintain inventory for the Amada EMK, Amada Pega, Standard & Niagara Press Brakes, RAS MiniBender, and Schechtl & Schroder Folders.
  • Responsible for maintaining electronic folders including programs and details of parts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly in Excel
  • Mechanically Inclined
  • Strong in CAD/CAM Software, Specifically AutoCAD & SolidWorks
  • Experience running Automated Equipment & Bending Equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Lifting-Up to 25 lbs.

Manufacturing facility -- exposed to heat and cold and office environment.
Personal Protective Equipment always required while on the manufacturing floor.
Noise controlled environment.
Activity level is high -- continuous overhead crane and forklift operation.
