CWMD Computer Programming Subject Matter Expert (SME) Position SummaryS2Technologies is seeking a CWMD Computer Programming SME to provide expert, hands-on software development support for Department of the Air Force CWMD requirements. The position focuses on programming custom modeling and visualization tools that depict complex systems, including chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear (CBRN) effects on air operations.This is a computer programming SME position. The selected candidate must be an expert programmer in Python, C++, and Visual Basic. Modeling and simulation experience alone does not meet the requirement.Primary ResponsibilitiesProgram new modeling and visualization tools to depict complex systems, such as aircraft generation flow or chemical agent behavior.Develop, modify, troubleshoot, test, document, and maintain custom software in Python, C++, and Visual Basic.Translate operational and technical requirements into working software solutions that model or visualize CBRN effects on air operations.Maintain and enhance existing custom modeling and visualization software as mission requirements evolve.Additional Supporting ResponsibilitiesAs assigned, the position may also support the development, maintenance, and operation of current and future sortie-generation and hazard-prediction Modeling & Simulation (M&S) products, including systems such as VLSTRACK, HPAC, JEM, and related tools.Minimum Qualifications12+ years of directly relevant professional experience consistent with the SME labor category.Expert-level, hands-on programming capability in Python, C++, and Visual Basic.Demonstrated ability to independently develop, modify, troubleshoot, test, and maintain software in all three required programming languages.Demonstrated ability to program software that models or visualizes complex systems involving chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear effects on air operations.Substantial professional software development experience; experience limited primarily to operating or analyzing M&S products is not sufficient.Preferred ExperienceExperience developing software supporting DoD, Air Force, CWMD, CBRN, or other national security missions.Experience with VLSTRACK, HPAC, JEM, sortie-generation models, hazard-prediction tools, or comparable systems.Experience maintaining or enhancing legacy scientific, analytical, or operational software.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Modeling & Simulation, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or related technical discipline.Equivalent military or operational experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.Security RequirementsActive Top Secret / SCI eligibility required.Ability to obtain and maintain additional accesses if required by the assigned work.Work EnvironmentSupports operational, laboratory, classified, and mission-focused environments.May require periodic travel in support of exercises, testing events, and operational assessments.Fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting national security operations.S2Technologies is an equal-opportunity employer.
