Job description

Description * Model complex, lofted aerospace parts in NX and possibly SolidWorks
* Perform and interpret Finite Element Analyses
* Design tooling to manufacture, repair, and assemble parts
* Participate in bid and proposal efforts by providing technical proposal content
* Participate in AS9100/ISO 9001 audits and provide quality engineering support as needed (e.g. authoring quality plans/inspections, etc)
* Reverse engineer parts using a Faro arm, Keyence and Verisurf software to fill in missing or incorrect data in drawing and loft and use Faro arm to verify models created
* Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
* Document actions by completing logs
* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
* Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
* Update existing work instructions to comply with updated Quality requirements
* Work with technicians to improve (lean) processes
* Read and interpret specifications, drawings, and other technical data to develop manufacturing process
* Work with Senior Program Managers as Project Engineer aiding in performance of analyses and interpretation of results as required
* Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training (both required and desired): * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant engineering or science discipline, from an ABET accredited program required Experience: * 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area * Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 Standard Practices for Engineering Drawings
* 3D printing of prototype parts Security: * Must be a US citizen
* Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required Physical Requirements: * Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
* Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
* Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
