Job description

The Opportunity
We currently seek a Civil Engineering Intern in our Timonium, MD office.
The Civil Engineering Intern will be mentored by and collaborate with the top Engineering associates on our team. The selected candidate will work with associates assisting on a variety of conventional and design-build projects that combine innovative roadway design with a strong knowledge of technical standards to exceed client expectations and provide cost-effective solutions. This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of the Transportation Engineering Industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine calculations requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles
  • Prepare and revise plan documents details
  • Collect and prepare data for evaluation
  • Perform engineering tasks with the use of computer-assisted design software and equipment
  • Provide support to engineering and project management associates

Qualifications:
  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic aligning with the company's mission and core values

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2.5 GPA or above
  • Prior internship or related experience
  • AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience
  • Specific interest in Transportation/Roadway Design

The typical pay range for this position in Maryland is $25 to $28 per hour, and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
