Job Title: QE Automation Engineer
Work location : Plymouth, Minnesota (Remote)
Duration: Contract
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with 10 years of experience to support quality engineering initiatives for insurance applications. The role requires manual, UI automation , strong API testing skills, and a self-learner attitude.
Job Description:
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline or equivalent experience with 12+ Minimum Experience
  • Prior experience in the insurance domain
  • Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals, test design techniques, and SDLC/STLC
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs (REST, JSON, Postman, etc.)
  • Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Genuine interest and willingness to explore AI-powered testing tools and approaches
  • Exposure to or curiosity about tools such as self-healing automation, AI-based test generation, visual testing, or intelligent test analytics
  • SQL knowledge

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, execute and maintain manual and automated test for web and API applications.
  • Participate in all scrum activities, test planning, estimation, and release activities.
  • Execute and enhance functional, regression, integration, and smoke tests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies early in the SDLC.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and clearly document defects with actionable insights.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
