Summary of Position
Our Project Management/Sales Co-op is focused on exposing candidates to field supervision of construction and service projects, as well as cost estimation, sales and estimation to meet the project plans, specifications and financial goals. The successful candidate will assist in managing current projects from beginning to end and work to resolve issues or needs from our customers, engineers, and employees that arise. In addition they will support the sales engineer team with cost estimation and quote support as needed. Candidates must have the ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints. Proactively work safely and ensure safety is planned and designed into job activities to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Act professionally and serve as a contact for job-related issues during construction.
  • Use their knowledge and experience to organize project activities and find solutions to issues that arise based on project knowledge and limits of the estimate/budget.
  • Communicate promptly with customers, contractors, and employees. Follow up on all details of multiple projects.
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction blueprint drawings for use in digital, pneumatic, and electric control systems
  • Work to manage the field installation and coordination of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide leadership to field installers to improve competency and independence.
  • Participate in weekly job costing and other project financials for assigned projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A qualified candidate will have obtained or be in the pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree, or a related Engineering Field, preferably Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  • HVAC and/or Industrial system knowledge preferred. Candidate must understand or can learn the operation of boilers, chillers, air-handling units, constant vs. variable volume systems, and knowledge of other HVAC equipment and their use. Any experience with Building Automation Systems or programming is a plus.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team orientated environment.
  • Experience with managing people and managing project financial budgets is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage emergencies.
  • A positive attitude and level-headed approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required with strong communication and organization skills.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
