MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team working in Crane, IN. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead multi-million-dollar project execution, formulate financial models, and generate detailed spending projections and cost estimates for government sponsors.

Execute mechanical design, CAD modeling, and reverse engineering applying GD&T. Program CNC mills and optimize processes for high-volume production.

Implement and operate facility 3D metal and filament printers to fabricate functional parts and bespoke tooling from various materials.

Direct procurement for raw materials, capital equipment, metrology instruments, CNC tooling, HAZMAT compliance assets, and heavy material-handling equipment.

Deliver In-Service Engineering support, update SOPs, author technical reports/SOWs, and direct UID labeling and decal production.

Serve as the primary technical liaison cultivating strategic interfaces with government sponsors, US Navy/USMC entities, and customs agencies.

Travel up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline

10+ years of relevant engineering experience

Professional experience using CAD software, CAM programming, CNC mill operation, and/or GD&T standards.

Demonstrated experience formulating spending projections, managing project budgets, and/or overseeing cross-functional technical teams.

Hands-on experience operating 3D filament and metal printers using specialized polymers and composite materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting DoD weapon systems, missile programs, rockets, or countermeasure payloads (e.g., NSWC Crane, MARCORSYSCOM).

Background in designing rotational ruggedization fixtures, test sets, and specialized assembly/tooling equipment.

Familiarity with UID label creation, Roland industrial printing setups, CutWorks RIP software, and military marking compliance.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
