SUMMARY:

Develop engineered concepts and technical solutions to support sales proposals for StageRight Dual Risers and Telescopic equipment. This role focuses on pre-sale engineering, conceptual layouts, configuration, and feasibility analysis to deliver accurate, competitive, and manufacturable proposals. Works closely with Sales, Applications Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure proposed solutions align with customer needs, safety standards, and company capabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop conceptual engineering solutions for customer requests involving StageRight-Event Products (event staging, telescopics, riser seating etc.) 
  • Interpret RFQs, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to define proposal scope.
  • Create preliminary layouts, configurations, and models utilizing standard and custom StageRight products.
  • Support sales with technical input including feasibility, load considerations, and application guidance.
  • Generate technical documentation and concept drawings to support pricing and proposal submittals.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering and Manufacturing to verify manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure concepts comply with internal standards, applicable codes, and product safety requirements.
  • Respond to technical questions during the proposal phase and provide revisions as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of proposal concepts and revisions.
  • Support continuous improvement of proposal tools, standards, and processes.
  • Attend training and maintain working knowledge of StageRight products and engineering software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Structural Engineering. Familiarity with 3D CAD software; Autodesk Inventor preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with staging, structural, or performance equipment is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively in English.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft Applications and product management software and tools. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic understanding of engineering math and ability to interpret technical drawing

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with the variety of situations which occur. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform hands-on tasks in lab or shop environments.
