Description:

The Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University Health Network/Sinai Health System (UHN/SHS) and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto is seeking a full-time, permanent Academic Neurologist with a focus on Epilepsy. The candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher with a preference of the position description of Clinician in Quality Improvement at the University of Toronto. For Clinician in Quality improvement, scholarly excellence will be assessed by advanced training in quality improvement or equivalent, successful quality improvement initiatives, evidence of practice and/or equipment innovations, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades, and other related accomplishments. The effective start date is at a mutually agreed upon date after January 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will hold a MD degree or equivalent and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). To be considered for a Clinician in Quality Improvement position, advanced training such as a in quality improvement or equivalent is required. Academic appointment will be within the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto.

Salary will be commensurate with training and experience. Salary range will be in the range of $290,000-295,000 CAD per year dependent on clinical work. 

Research and clinical focus will be on Epilepsy. Clinical service will be in the Division of Neurology, Krembil Brain Institute for on-call, inpatient and ambulatory care. Teaching will be as per Division of Neurology requirements.
