Job description

Job Description

Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants who are interested in joining the Wentworth community for one or two semesters to teach:

  • Robotics Engineering for first-year engineering students

  • Electrical or Computer Engineering - Courses such as Digital Logic and Programming

This will be a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in the Douglas D. Schumann School of Engineering in Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027, with an opportunity to apply for a full-time Assistant Professor position for Fall 2027.

The standard load for the position is 16 credit hours per semester for the Fall 2026 semester. Extension into the spring semester, based on coursework availability and needs will be considered, alongside evaluation of performance and potential interest.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in the appropriate area of Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree in the appropriate area of Engineering

Position Details:

It is expected that the salary range for this positionis between $34,000 and $38,000 for one semester.

The specific pay for this position will bedeterminedby the University based on consideration of all relevant factors when and if it decides to extend an offer of employment. The position does not include a comprehensive benefits package.
