Job description

Swift is seeking a Tank Operator who will perform a variety of functions in accordance with standard procedures used in metalizing fabrics. Works in a manufacturing team environment producing products within customer specifications to ensure the final product adheres to the product’s quality and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work to ahigh quality standard keeping safety as a priority by employing best practices.
  • Ability to work as a knowledgeable, cooperative and effective member of the Production team
  • Handles fabric in accordance with metalizing work instructions to ensure the fabric is processed correctly
  • Pays close attention to detail during the sensitizing and metalizing process to identify and or prevent product defects and non-conformances.
  • Notifies supervisor immediately of procedural issues, FOD (Foreign Object), product defects, non-conformances and potentially unsafe acts
  • Ability to perform proper sensitizing and metalizing techniques per the company’s documented procedures. (roping, opening up, detangling, pulling back, flat folding, etc.)
  • Ability to work respectfully and effectively in groups on 2-3 people
  • Ability to effectively navigate computer software intended for time and attendance, efficiency, quality assurance, and procedural data collection
  • Adherence to company policy in regard to safety and the use, care maintenance, storage, and disposal of personal protective equipment
  • Adherence to a closely timed and measured production protocol
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

Education: High School Diploma, GED equivalent or trade school graduate

Years Experience: 0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment


Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret operating instructions
  • Basic Math skills
  • Possesses good mechanical aptitude
  • Good computer skills
  • Attention to detail and quality focus

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed in both lab and manufacturing environments with some exposure to specialty chemicals. Personal protective equipment provided.
  • Moderate physical activity required, including walking, standing, stretching, reaching and some lifting to a maximum of 50 pounds.
