Nisga'a CIOPS delivers cleared professionals to support civilian and DoD customers worldwide across intelligence support, cyber/defensive cyber operations, IT O&M, infrastructure modernization, training, and logistics.
Summary:
The Indexing Operations Specialist is responsible for the accurate entry, maintenance, and compliance oversight of Department of the Air Force (DAF) administrative and criminal indexing records within FBI criminal justice information systems. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned MAJCOMs, providing direct support to Security Forces, OSI, and Judge Advocate offices on indexing matters. The Indexing Operations Specialist conducts real-time evaluations, corrections, and compliance reviews to ensure records are accurate, timely, and aligned with applicable law, DoD/DoW, and DAF policies, while supporting audits, RFIs, and interagency coordination efforts.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Conducts entries of records within several FBI criminal justice information systems as required by law, DoW, and DAF policy.
  • Focal point for respective MAJCOMs regarding Disposition of Firearms (DOF) checks.
  • Engages with assigned Indexing Compliance Managers (Security Forces/OSI) and JA offices at respective bases providing direct feedback and resolution to questions or concerns as required for administrative and criminal indexing matters.
  • Conducts real-time evaluations, audits, creation, and correction of DAF indexing records a required via direct engagement with units and via functional CMS access.
  • Ensures assigned functional units comply with established DoW and DAF policies regarding applicable records within federal databases and case management systems.
  • Monitors and tracks requests for and entries of DAF information into federal databases for assigned MAJCOM installations including warrants, lost/stolen articles, missing persons, Military Protection Orders (MPO), dangerous persons, and ensure compliance by assigned MAJCOM units with established policies/procedures ensuring proper documentation exists for respective entries.
  • Engages directly with DAF-CJIC CHRI Data Manager and Audit lead regarding MAJCOM compliance information and assist with providing proper feedback regarding compliance issues for routing to base OSI HQ/Inspector General (IG) and MAJCOM/Wing IG offices for remedy.
  • Provide resolutions to Requests for Information (RFI) team as required for records within their respective MAJCOM and make identified corrections of errors.

Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of common criminal justice system terminology and processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience creating or managing criminal justice information records and 3 years' experience either as a sworn law enforcement officer or other similar criminal justice experience.
  • Must have a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
