Job description

Title: Temp - Technologist - Computed Tomography (CT) (Days) Mount Clemens, MI
Position Summary:
Coordinates and participates in all computerized tomography
scanning procedures. Sets up, monitors and operates complex computerized
equipment for diagnostic purposes.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:

1. Sets up and
monitors computer operation of C.T. equipment per patient. Transfers and
positions patients utilizing accepted standards of safety and proper lifting
techniques. Applies immobilization devices as necessary.
2. Provides required patient
identification. Obtains vital information from patients concerning known
allergies and pertinent medical history.
3. Properly prepares and injects
contrast media intravenously into appropriate patients as needed for
examination to be performed as protocolled by Radiologist.
4. Makes and develops images for
permanent file of each patient. Records all studies on magnetic tape for future
reference.
5. Organizes daily patient schedule in
cooperation with work-room technician.
6. Maintains image quality following
department guidelines. Daily calibration and quality control of equipment
following department guidelines. Assures proper repair of equipment is
performed, follows MRMC protocols for imaging procedures.
7. Responsible for electronic/digital
image capture, storage, transfer, and copy.
8. Monitors patients for allergic
reaction and takes proper action as needed. Assist with emergency medical
situations including providing basic CPR.
9. Provides protection to self and
patients in accordance with current prescribed safety standards and regulations
as set forth by Michigan Department of Public Health.
10. Maintains cleanliness of working
environment. Assures supplies are maintained within department inventory
levels.
11. Instructs new personnel as needed.
12. Assists Radiologists and other
physician specialists in performance of specialized radiological procedures
with level of skill consistent with department standards.
13. Reviews and records pertinent
patient history and supportive clinical data to aid Radiologist in diagnosis of
patient.
14. Maintains Registry in accordance
with regulatory agency requirements.
15. Participates in Medical
Center and/or
departmental quality assessments and continuous quality improvement
opportunities, goal setting, collection and evaluation of data, implementation
of action plans, or related applications
Requirements

  • 2+ Years of CT Experience - [REQUIRED]
  • Phillips Experience - [REQUIRED]
  • Traveler Experience - [PREFFERED]
  • Needs to work 2 out of the 3 upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) - [REQUIRED]
