Job description

Company Description Bauman Machine Inc., founded in 1973 and provides a full range of machining services to diverse range of industries. Industries include Aerospace and defense, Energy, Mining, and Casino gaming.


Role Description CNC Lathe or CNC Mill Machinist is a full-time position in Oklahoma City, OK. In this position, the CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.


Daily responsibilities include:

  • selecting tools
  • adjusting machine settings and offsets
  • monitoring production runs by inspecting parts with precision inspection equipment
  • performing routine machine maintenance.
  • documenting measurements and inspections
  • collaborating with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.


The CNC Machinist is expected to follow safety standards, meet production deadlines, and support โ€œJust in Timeโ€ delivery requirements.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Machine Operation and Machinery, including setup and operation.
  • Strong Machining skills, with experience interpreting blueprints,
  • Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including inspection methods, use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and documentation of results.
  • Ability to read and apply technical specifications, work instructions, and safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality parts on schedule.
  • Prior experience as a CNC machinist or in a related precision machining role; apprenticeship or vocational training in machining is beneficial.
