Job description

Clean Harbors in Red Deer, is looking for Solids Control Tech to join their safety conscious team.

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all the oilfield rental equipment. Provide customers with exceptional service while operating equipment. Troubleshooting and repair of minor electrical issues, assisting with the rigging up and rigging out of solids control equipment and completing all required paperwork.

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Rigging in and Rig out, repair and maintain Solids Control Equipment 
  • Sit in on client location on a rotating day or night shift as scheduled to ensure equipment runs efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues as well as any other issues that arise
  • Complete all required paper work daily (safety documents, JSA's, work orders, service records and daily reports)
  • Work in shop during slow periods to assist in the maintenance and repair of all Clean Harbors equipment
  • Service and maintain solids control equipment on a weekly basis
  • Perform all required maintenance and repairs to various types of rental equipment
  • Perform maintenance which follows the manufacturer guidelines for service times and inspections by requesting additional information, as required, from the establishment in which the equipment was purchased
  • Ensure all equipment in need for repair has been approved for repair by the Shop Superintendent or Branch Management
  • Notify management when repaired equipment is ready for use
