Job Summary:We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join the Tank Holding Team! As a Quality Control Inspector, your duty would be to perform hourly checks on each machine to ensure quality parts are being produced while reporting any problems with the quality of the part to the Shift Production Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend shift agenda meeting and walk-throughs prior to the start of shifts
  • Check parts from each machine, check cavity counts on each machine, compare quality of parts running with the first piece (weight, color, trim, scrap, etc.).
  • Preparing all documentation and labels needed for the next shift.
  • Review with machine operator(s) the operator instructions and Standard Work Instructions (SWI) while verifying the job packet and that the job is being done as directed.
  • Inform Supervisors of any problems with the quality of the parts.
  • At job start-up verify and record findings on the first article check sheet making sure all items have been inspected, approved, and initialed. Record results in Quick Inspect.
  • Do a visual check of each press once per hour that you are responsible for.
  • Know how to use all measuring equipment.
  • Complete 1-3 inspections per shift on those presses required by the Quality Manager which include a visual and dimensional check based on the criteria listed on the process inspection checklist. All data shall be recorded in the quality module in ERP system. All criteria must be acceptable in order to move the product to the warehouse.
  • Perform Final Inspection of parts, before the product is tagged, accepted, and moved to the warehouse using QC criteria.
  • Collecting and entering scrap reports and completing WIP at the end of the shift.

  • Attention to detail to catch quality mistakes and verify the specifications
  • Quality Control experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills preferred
