OBJECTIVES/
PURPOSE OF JOB

Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

KEY ACTIVITIES/
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Mechanically Minded - Mechanical aptitude and good math skills are required.
  • Inspect close tolerance parts & Attention to Detail.
  • Must be fluent in use of calipers, micrometers, and general measuring devices.
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with other employees of the organization.
  • Contacts with other departments or offices and frequently with individuals in middle level positions; consulting on problems which necessitate judgment and tact in presentation to obtain cooperation or approval of action to be taken.

QUALIFICATIONS/
TRAINING

 

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education:

  • Some form of related Tech School education desired

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years in manufacturing related position, medical device industry preferred
  • Exceptional attendance
  • Must be able to work in a high-volume area
  • Candidate must be able to multi-task
  • Team Player-Open to new ideas and team work, self-motivated individual, willing to continually increase personal knowledge and value.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Swiss CNC Lathe experience
