Job description

Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. This role involves loading parts into the machine, cycling the machine, and detecting any malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The CNC operator also ensures a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all assigned machine shop operations.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
  • Regularly perform milling, turning, drilling, and tapping tasks.
  • Inspect machined products and document results.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing work environment.
  • Experience with any type of CNC Machine.
  • Experience with repetitive work.
  • Ability to use a digital gage.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
