Job description

Job title: CNC Machinist

Reports to: CNC Supervisor

Supervisory responsibilities: None.

Summary/objective: Engineered Tooling Systems (ETS) is looking to add an experienced CNC Machinists OR Trainee. The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.

A $2 night shift premium is available for this position.

Essential functions:

  • Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed.
  • Ability to perform your own programming and running your details.
  • Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
  • Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
  • Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
  • Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.

Required competency, education, and experience:

  • Experience with using Work NC software
  • A well-rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
  • Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
  • Candidate must have valid driverโ€™s license

Work environment: Manufacturing environment

Physical demands:

  • Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
  • Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
  • Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Night Shift.

Travel: None.
