Job description

ASRC Federal NetCentric is hiring a Personal Computer Support Technician in Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of computer help-desk support, desktop computer support, and troubleshooting of all computer
systems. The IT Support Administrator provides support to distributed computers/networking environment including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting for
stand-alone computers, computers linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals.

  • Support responsibilities include software installation and configurations.
  • Performs technical, operational, and training support to computer users either by telephone, or on-site for computer hardware and software.
  • Setup, manage, and maintain all computer related equipment.
  • Must be able to manage time and projects effectively. Assist management with projects to improve the technology infrastructure of the organization.
  • Assist with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of computer systems.
  • Develop and maintain information technology architectures.
  • Maintain hardware and software accountability.
  • Monitor, configure and maintain printer hardware and software.
  • SharePoint Administrator duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in computer technology or related field and 3 years of experience in supporting computer systems. Equivalent education/experience
    is applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must be able to complete and maintain DISA IAT level II baseline certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Must be able to complete all NIPRNET ADMIN privilege access requirements.
  • Must possess working knowledge of current and new technologies.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of hardware and networking basics.
  • Able to install, configure, troubleshoot and support Windows based clients.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office.
  • High level of analytical thinking to solve problems. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must do well with minimal "hands on" training and pickup new skills quickly
  • Ability to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions.
