Pay Rate: $25.50 an hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, trouble shoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on digital recording systems
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on other low voltage systems including security alarms and wireless receivers
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on IP cameras and related wiring
- Perform other general maintenance and administrative tasks
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of work experience and/or completion of formal training with digital recording systems, computer networking, alarms, electrical and/or other related fields
Preferred:
- 2-year degree in in computer networking or electronics
- Familiarity with fire prevention and suppression systems
Skills
Required:
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Abilities
Required:
- Ability to work fast and efficiently
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
- Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment
REQUIRED TRAINING
- Treasure Island guest service training
- Training on all specialized security systems functions and equipment used at Treasure Island
- Complete proficiency certification on primary systems within 12 months
- Any position-related training as determined by division director
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop
- Must be able to reach and twist routinely, occasionally
- Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
- Must be able to safety operate and work from a boom lift, utilize safety harnesses, and climb to elevated heights without physical restrictions
- Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely
- Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate equipment
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must be able to navigate stairs and work at high elevations routinely
- Must have good eye hand coordination
- Must be able to operate foot pedals
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed throughout the entire property (inside and outdoors) and may include flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
- Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Occasionally overtime may be required
