Property Care Design Associate

Job Overview

The Property Care Design Associate is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and execution of landscape and property care projects. This role combines client interaction, creative design, and technical drafting using CAD software to develop functional, aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.

You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate ideas into detailed plans, ensuring designs align with environmental conditions, budget constraints, and long-term property care goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to understand landscaping and property care needs, preferences, and budgets
  • Assist in developing comprehensive landscape and property care designs
  • Create detailed drawings and plans using CAD software (or hand drafting when needed) for the design associate and other team members as needed.
  • Select appropriate plants, trees, and materials based on climate, soil, and design intent
  • Coordinate with vendors, installation crews, and maintenance teams to execute designs
  • Modify and refine designs based on client feedback or site conditions
  • Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, codes, and industry standards
  • Stay current with landscape design trends, sustainability practices, and plant knowledge
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines
  • Available to take Property Care Annual Agreement accounts as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in landscape design, horticulture, or related field (internships acceptable for junior candidates)
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plant materials, growth requirements, and seasonal care practices
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong eye for design and aesthetics

Preferred Skills

  • Degree or coursework in Landscape Design, Horticulture, or related field
  • Experience working with residential or commercial property care projects
  • Familiarity with sustainable landscaping practices
