Our Help Desk Intern will have an integral role and responsibility to perform IT tasks essential to our operational success. We have high expectations and require interns to be self-driven and motivated to complete work by or before defined deadlines. We work in a fast-paced environment and individuals will have an opportunity to take on more responsibility as they prove their capabilities and ability to deliver. A portion of this work will be user facing support including senior members of the organization. Business acumen, professional presence, business casual dress, customer service, communication, and follow through are critical aspects of the daily work.
Responsibilities:
  • Computer builds - Prepare PC hardware for deployment by unboxing, running diagnostics, imaging, and configuring Windows settings and applications.
  • Decom - Securely wipe and log returned hardware, keeping a record of hardware available for donation or redeployment.
  • Inventory - Perform comprehensive inventory check on Help Desk equipment available for deployment (computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, and other related items).
  • In office support as needed - Provide desk-side support to personnel working in the office, troubleshooting common IT issues.
  • Organized - Work to maintain a clean and organized environment for all Help Desk employees.
  • Tickets - Work to document troubleshooting process and resolutions to IT issues within internal ticketing system and knowledge base. Examples include:
    • Hardware replacement with data transfer
    • Installing and updating software or drivers/firmware
    • Common PC Hardware/Software issues

Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the most current Microsoft Windows OS and one revision prior used in enterprise environments.
  • Familiar with PC (Desktop and Laptop) hardware.
  • Familiar with mobile devices - iOS and Android.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Keen attention to detail with strong note taking skills and ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction, now and in the future.
  • This position requires in office presence.
