Job Scope
We are seeking a Full-Time IT Support Intern for our Piscataway, NJ office. This role is a good start for an IT career. This role primarily supports day-to-day IT operations by providing on-site technical assistance, supporting laboratory and office environments, and assisting users through IT service management (ITSM) processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience in enterprise IT support while working closely with senior IT team members to deliver high-quality end-user services.

Reporting to: US Region - IT Operations Manager
Job Location: Piscataway, NJ (Fully Onsite)

Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Compensation: $22 - $23 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Respond to and resolve IT-related inquiries and issues from users in a timely manner.
    • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of IT issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate team.
    • Support both onsite and remote employees with IT-related requests.
    • Assist with maintaining IT equipment used within lab environments.
    • Coordinate with senior IT staff to ensure operational continuity of local IT services.
  • Operational Support:
    • Assist with inventory organization and general IT operational activities.
    • Support routine audits and equipment verification activities when needed.
    • Provide administrative support for IT documentation and process updates.
    • Assist with asset management activities and special IT projects as assigned.

Experiences & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, Microsoft Office 365, and common business applications.
  • Experience with IT troubleshooting tools and remote support software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts, Active Directory, and IT security best practices is a plus.
