THE POSITION

This position gives you the chance to learn how to troubleshoot devices, update equipment, and solve problems for customers. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Information Technology Intern, you will help support technology equipment, prepare devices for use, and assist customers across multiple agencies. This role provides hands-on training with computers, printers, mobile devices, and inventory systems. Work involves performing the following duties:

  • Device Setup: Install operating systems, software, and applications on computers and prepare them for network use
  • Printer Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and plotters for customers
  • Peripheral Installation: Set up and configure computer accessories and related devices
  • Network Assistance: Support networking equipment and apply basic structured cabling concepts
  • Mobile Support: Configure mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, cell phones, and air cards
  • Inventory Work: Enter asset information, verify records, and prepare equipment for surplus processing


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Internship. This internship will run through January 2027.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  • Note: This position will be headquartered in the Keystone Building, with possible trips to support remote sites.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Internship Requirements:

  • You must be currently enrolled in college full-time (carrying 12 or more undergraduate credits, or 9 or more graduate credits).
  • You must be 18 years of age and in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
  • You must be majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology.
