Primary Supervisor: IT Systems Administrator
Location: Rigby, Idaho
Job Status: Part-time or Full-time (Seasonal/Internship) - Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The IT Support Intern provides technical support to the Information Technology team while gaining hands-on experience in a professional enterprise environment. This position assists with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up equipment, maintaining technology assets, documenting support work, and supporting day-to-day IT operations across Broulim's locations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, dependable, and interested in developing practical skills in information technology. This internship is intended to provide meaningful professional experience and may lead to consideration for continued employment or future opportunities within the organization based on performance, business needs, and available openings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, scanners, phones, and peripheral devices
  • Assist with computer setup, deployment, imaging, configuration, and replacement for new and existing team members
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of computers, mobile devices, network connectivity, Wi-Fi, printers, and other store technology
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, Outlook, and other commonly used business systems
  • Install software updates and assist with routine system maintenance under the direction of the IT team
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment, devices, accessories, and technology assets
  • Assist with user account setup, password resets, access requests, and employee onboarding/offboarding tasks as assigned
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and repeatable processes in the IT ticketing system or knowledge base
  • Provide professional support to team members at the Support Office and company locations, both remotely and onsite as needed
  • Assist with technology projects including equipment rollouts, store support, new location preparation, and system upgrades
  • Follow company IT security policies and maintain confidentiality of company, employee, and customer information
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the IT department and company operations

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school, college, technical school, or a related training program
  • Currently pursuing or interested in a degree, certification, or long-term career in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and common office technology
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues, follow instructions, and ask appropriate questions
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities, including professionalism when supporting team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing assigned tasks responsibly
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to document work accurately
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and business systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework toward an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, basic networking concepts, user support, and computer repair
  • Previous customer service, retail, technical support, computer repair, or help desk experience is a plus
  • Interest in growing into a broader IT support, systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity role over time
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel frequently between store locations.
