Job description

DRY DOCK – IT INTERN
DHO JV is joint venture between contractors, Dragados, Hawaiian Dredging Construction, Co., and Orion Government Services. This collaboration aims to develop a new dry dock for the Governments Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, working on important marine infrastructure projects with NAVPAC Pacific.

JOB OVERVIEW:
DHOJV is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to support our project teams with day-to-day technology operations. This role offers hands-on experience in a construction project environment, supporting IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, and digital systems used in field and office operations.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for site offices, including laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Assist with IT onboarding/offboarding for project personnel
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Support project IT systems, including file sharing, cloud storage, and collaboration tools
  • Maintain and update IT equipment inventory and documentation
  • Assist in network setup and connectivity for jobsite trailers/offices
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity protocols
  • Support audio/visual 


REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in:
    • Information Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Information Systems or related field
  • Windows operating systems
  • Microsoft Office / Office 365
  • Networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with:
    • Construction or project-based environments
    • IT ticketing systems or asset management tools
  • Experience with:
    • Basic network setup (routers, switches)
    • Hardware repairs or device imaging
  • Willingness to work on a construction jobsite environment
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be willing to work on-site at a project location
    • Must be adaptable to a fast-paced construction environment
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (IT equipment setup)
    • Valid driver’s license preferred

 

Starting Compensation: $26.00/hr.
