What You'll Do as a Day Program Instructor Caregiver
You will play a key role in promoting daily living skills, vocational skills, independence, and active engagement.
Your responsibilities include:
  • Developing and following daily activity routines based on each client's Individual Program Plan (IPP)
  • Assisting with personal care, bathroom needs, and changing undergarments/clothing when needed
  • Preparing meals and participating in cleanup
  • Supporting clients in daily living, vocational, recreational, and community activities
  • Providing transportation in company vans as needed
  • Participating in client assessments, planning, and evaluation
  • Entering client notes into computer systems and reviewing IPP goals
  • Communicating with supervisors about client progress
  • Attending staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned

Every day, you'll help individuals gain confidence, socialize, and reach meaningful goals.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
  • Shift: Full-Time, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday
  • Location: West Covina, CA
  • Work Setting: In-person, one location - not remote

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid California Driver's License a must
  • Must pass all pre-employment screenings (background check, etc.)
  • Preferred: DSP Year 1 & Year 2 Certificates
  • Preferred: CPI certification
  • Preferred: First Aid / CPR Certification

Applicants may obtain DSP or CPI certifications within the first 6 months if not already completed.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working indoors & outdoors in all weather conditions
