Academic Success Advisor- Healthcare Training Center

Description:  In this role, the Academic Success Advisor has passion to ensure student success and achievements at Prosperity Training Center. This person is championing for students, instructors and fellow co-workers.  This position is a combination of marketing and clerical activities.

Job Duties:

The following is a list of duties related to the position. There may be other duties assigned:

·       Liaising and corresponding within the community to recruit students

·       Distribute marketing materials

·       Participate in marketing events

·       Scheduling fingerprint services

·       Scheduling Testing for students

·       Answering the phones

·       Monitor email correspondence

·       Managing upcoming and current student roster

·       Coordinate with the Program Director's student calendar

·       Experience in rapidly adapting and effectively utilizing new technology, practices, policies, and methods

·        Experience with the use of internet-based research tools and Microsoft Office computer applications

·       Work as part of a team to increase student retention and graduation

·       Works closely and collaboratively with students, faculty and staff to support academic success

·       Acts as school representative to current and prospective students, faculty, staff and external groups on issues related to academic success; attends and or presents at orientation, graduation, or recruiting events/activities/ workshops.

Responsibilities:

·       Tasks are carried out in a climate-controlled office environment, involving prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and using a computer mouse. The role also requires standing for various durations and walking moderate distances to complete work.

·       Regular bending, reading, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs.

·       Maintaining Records: keeping accurate records of student’s files, and program outcomes

·       Traveling for marketing events

Education:

·       Must have High School Diploma or GED

·       Associate degree or equivalent, in Health Care Administration, Business, or Marketing and/or a combination of education and commensurate work experience preferred.
