Designation : Engineer - CAD CAM 1
Location: Chandler, AZ (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Contract-to-Hire Potential)
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Engineer CAD CAM 1 to join the Mechanical and Energetics team. This role focuses on creating and reviewing detailed design and drawing packages while ensuring compliance with industry and military standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Create and review mechanical drawings, ensuring accuracy in dimensions, materials, and specifications
Develop 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX (NX 2412) managed with Teamcenter
Generate and revise parametric drawings in compliance with ASME standards
Perform tolerance analysis, hardware selection, and assembly fit checks
Validate 3D models prior to manufacturing release
Collaborate with engineering teams, manufacturing, and vendors
Support design reviews for fit, function, and manufacturability
Required Skills & Qualifications
2 to 3 years Experience with Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar 3D CAD tools
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Windows)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Teamcenter
Familiarity with ASME modeling and drawing standards
Exposure to manufacturing processes and tolerance analysis
