The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Network Engineer SME to join our dynamic DES (Defense Enclave Services) team supporting DISA at Fort Meade, MD on a hybrid basis.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must hold an active Secret security clearance prior to start and be able to obtain a Top Secret. (US Citizenship required)

PROGRAM SUMMARY:

The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DoD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ (DAFAs) common use information technology systems, personnel, functions, and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. It will unify the DAFAs on a common, modernized network architecture, DoDNet, to provide mission services focused on enhanced user experience, improved security, and network reliability.

  • Cisco Wireless

  • Cisco ISE

  • Azure Cloud

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required prior to start (Security+ CE or equivalent).

  • Enterprise network modernization and migration experience

  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or integration efforts

  • Strong troubleshooting, implementation, and operational support background

  • Experience working in multi-vendor enterprise environments

  • Customer-facing engineering and technical coordination experience

  • Ability to support cross-functional engineering teams in dynamic operational environments

  • Experience integrating enterprise networking with cloud-based infrastructure and services

  • Understanding of hybrid cloud networking concepts and secure connectivity architectures

  • Experience supporting network segmentation, access control, and identity-based networking solutions

  • Enterprise wireless migration planning and execution
