Summary
DataPath, Inc. is seeking a Senior Computer Network Architect to perform systems engineering and architecture across DoD enterprise and tactical environments, sustaining and modernizing worldwide network communications infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Systems Engineering & Architecture
  • Perform systems engineering and architecture across DoD enterprise and tactical environments supporting worldwide network communications.
  • Engineer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and data center systems supporting core networks, voice/VoIP, and data/video services.

Encryption & COMSEC
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network encryptors, including firmware management, version enforcement, operational requirements, and best practices.
  • Diagnose encryption issues from customer-reported symptoms and operational context, including key failures on forward-deployed tactical nodes.

Modernization & Deployment
  • Plan and execute modernization, technical refresh, and infrastructure upgrades across satellite ground stations and core network infrastructure.
  • Support repeatable deployments using DevOps/CI-CD practices; apply change control and configuration management across TS/SCI networks.

Operations & Support
  • Operate and administer the program toolset for IPAM/device management, automation, directory services, topology and fault analysis, logging, and ticketing.
  • Support surge and rapid-response requirements as operational demands shift.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent demonstrated experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of systems engineering/architecture in DoD enterprise or tactical environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and data center systems.
  • Prior DoD environment exposure, including TS/SCI networks, change control, and configuration management.
  • Working knowledge of encryptor configuration, firmware management, version enforcement, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD to support repeatable deployments.
  • Preferred: hands-on proficiency with Nautobot, AWX, Active Directory, Forward Networks, Splunk, and ServiceNow; experience with GemOne and Chimera management platforms.
  • Required certification - DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline. Must hold one of: CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, or CND.
  • Required certification - Cisco CCNP.
