Description
Point University is seeking part-time instructors to teach English for its DCE programs at partner schools in the Savannah area. Copies of graduate transcripts are required for applications to be considered.
Point University is an independent liberal arts institution that educates its students within a Christian worldview. At Point, our mission is to educate students for "... Christ-centered service and leadership throughout the world." Our students are equipped with tools for ongoing growth in their profession and their faith throughout their lives. Point University prepares graduates for intellectual, spiritual, and professional success in Georgia, the Southeast, the United States, or abroad.
Primary teaching responsibilities will include:
  • ENG101: Critical Reading and Writing I
  • ENG102: Critical Reading and Writing II
  • Other courses within the discipline/subject

Requirements
  • Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English; doctorate preferred.
  • Effective teaching ability/excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to teach college-level courses to high school students in a dual-enrollment setting preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
  • Experience with Canvas LMS preferred
  • Willingness to be a professional role model and mentor.
  • Commitment to undergraduate education, professional growth, service, and scholarship in a distinctively Christian setting, including agreement with the University's mission and goals, values, and doctrinal statement.
