Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Professional courteous and extensive customer service skills with concentrated attention to individual needs. Must maintain confidentiality of students and Academic Success Center documentation. Ability to create and maintain a positive environment conducive to learning and student success. Excellent communication skills required to successfully interface with diverse populations, including those requiring Student Access Services. Must be detail-oriented and computer literate with keyboard skills. Must be familiar with Windows applications, particularly Outlook and Word.
Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Academic Success Center Manager or area administrator as appropriate.SUPERVISION GIVEN: None.
Job Function
Provide assistance with academic support and informational needs to students, faculty and staff.

Job Responsibilities
• Implement Academic Success Center policies and procedures relating to academic support and test administration.
• Provide direct assistance to accommodate client needs.
• Answer questions regarding Departmental and College-wide services and events; routes students and staff appropriately.
• Interfaces with other Student Service areas of the College.
• Answer telephones; route inquiries to appropriate departments and employee.
• Facilitate student testing procedures as assigned with great attention to detail.
• Ensures eligibility for, and delivery of, individualized ADA requirements as appropriate.
• Maintain order in the Academic Success Center, Testing Room and Computer Lab.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Troubleshoot copy machines and printers.
• Compile, record departmental data and file documents.
• Facilitate information between departments; oversee deposits, deliveries and appropriate inventories of operating items.
• Distribute mail and prepare mailings.
• Provide support to full-time staff as required.
• Participate in departmental trainings.
• Represent MCC to the community.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
High School graduate or GED equivalent; pursuing associate degree.
Qualifications
Is an active student taking at least 6 credits with an eligible work-study award.
