Job description

As The System Support Analyst, reporting to the System Support Team Lead, you will ensure all enduser devices operate smoothly and efficiently. This role handles a wide range of technical responsibilities, including device setup, software installation and configuration, and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues. Support is provided both in person and remotely.
Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, userfriendly way. The analyst will work with diverse IT infrastructure such as laptops, mobile devices, printers, networks, cloud services and may also contribute technical insights to projects as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining end point devices. This includes setting up and maintaining printers, workstations, networks, cloud-based services, audio/video equipment and peripherals
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining various software applications. This may include troubleshooting complex technical issues related to productivity software, communication tools, and business applications.
  • Proficient with and strong knowledge of all operating systems such as Windows, Android & iOS and be able to troubleshoot related issues and resolve them quickly and efficiently
  • Provide end-user support for hardware, software and network issues, this includes troubleshooting hardware and software components, replacing faulty equipment, identifying the root cause through thorough review and assessment and make recommendations for implementation of appropriate solutions. Partners and collaborates with Internal and external technical resources as required (external vendors or Internal IT SME's)
  • Respond to and resolve IT incidents and service requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that end-users are informed of the status of their requests
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and practices, including antivirus software, firewalls, and security policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls, and the ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues and ensure that the organization's IT systems are running and operating smoothly
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining IT infrastructure, including printers, networks, and cloud-based services, ensuring these systems are optimized for performance and security
  • Assists with continuously reviewing and improving complex IT processes and procedures, i.e. network design, systems configuration to identify and recommend updates to ensure that they are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry best practices and standards (ITIL based)
  • Provides technical advice and guidance to stakeholders such as Executives, Service Desk team etc. on potential issues

Qualifications:

  • 2year Technical Diploma in Computer Science required, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is an asset
  • Proficiency with cloud applications and tools, including Microsoft Azure, Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Endpoint, Exchange Online, Cloud Printing, Fax Systems, and ServiceNow
  • Strong knowledge of on-premises services, such as Microsoft Active Directory and File Servers
  • Experience with collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom
  • Expertise in cloud-based software, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Visio, and Project
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and tools, such as Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, and various internet connection types (cellular, wired, point-to-point, satellite)
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, including Windows 10/11, Android, and iOS
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly to nontechnical users
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment

  • This is an in office role for 5 days a week along with occasional travel to project sites when required
