Job description

We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support across office and manufacturing environments, helping employees maintain reliable technology while supporting the organization's IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and user access issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows 10/11 workstations, laptops, printers, peripherals, and network connectivity (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
  • Install, configure, deploy, and maintain end-user devices, including computers, mobile devices, printers, barcode scanners, label printers, and other manufacturing technology.
  • Manage user accounts, password resets, permissions, and onboarding/offboarding activities using Active Directory.
  • Log, prioritize, document, and escalate incidents through the IT ticketing system.
  • Install software, perform operating system and application updates, and assist with patch management.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory, technical documentation, and equipment records.
  • Follow IT policies, security standards, and data protection procedures while reporting potential security concerns.
  • Assist with IT projects, system upgrades, and other departmental initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of IT support, help desk, internship, or related technical experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office and manufacturing environment.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with Active Directory or similar identity and access management systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience with endpoint security tools such as antivirus, EDR, logging, or SIEM platforms.
  • General knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), password management, least privilege, access control, and user account lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling requirements.
