The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking Composites Manufacturing Engineers for 2nd shift located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Overview: We are looking for Assembly Manufacturing Engineers, with expertise in airplane manufacturing, production readiness, and delivery center flyaway operations. You will collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes that meet stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, plans, and tooling methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for composite fabrication.
  • Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Support delivery operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
  • Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and composite fabrication considerations.
  • Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all manufacturing processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • (Level 3) 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
  • Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience in aerospace composite fabrication
  • Experience with 3D model based instruction
