Job description

  • Supervise the mechatronics maintenance team
  • Provide training and coaching to improve team performance
  • Utilize mechanical, electrical, computer, and software skills with smart technologies, including robots, automated guided systems, and computer-integrated manufacturing equipment
  • Perform continuous operational equipment checks and preventive maintenance
  • Repair and replace defective electrical and mechanical equipment components using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, hoists, gantry cranes, and hand and power tools
  • Act as a subject matter expert and recommend facility and equipment design improvements to stakeholders
  • Perform critical preventive-maintenance inspections to prevent breakdowns or significant overhauls
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports and charts and share information with stakeholders
  • Work around electromagnetic fields and in high-noise environments
  • Operate at heights, in confined spaces, and with ladders, lifts, mobile equipment, and foot controls
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment of various weights
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience maintaining Industrial Electronic and Electrical systems; related academic coursework in Industrial Electronics/Robotics/Mechatronics counts towards experience
  • Ability to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level and pass Fall Protection Training
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
  • Strong mathematical skills

  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
