Reports To: Computer Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
  • To install and repair computers, printers, and related equipment for the district. The person will work closely with Technical Services personnel and all other departments for the district.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Have knowledge of PC's Macintosh, Ethernet and wireless networking in a Windows and Novell environment
  • Valid Texas driver's license

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented and able to work within a high pressure environment
  • Possess effective communication, public relation and interpersonal skills

EXPERIENCE:
  • Have demonstrated successful hardware and software experience with PC and Macintosh computer repair

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Pick-up, delivery, installation and repair of computers, network hardware, printers and related equipment for the district
  • Troubleshoot wireless access equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • None

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
  • Able to work in high pressure environment

Physical demands/environmental factors:
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Able to lift (60) pounds
