Job description

We are a well-established, reputable IT provider with locations and customers across the country. We are seeking to add to our existing team of local field technicians in the Salt Lake City area, and are looking for an experienced field technician. Field Technicians start the workday from home and travel throughout the Salt Lake City area and occasionally to the St. George, Utah area to service computers and servers as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide both remote and onsite technical support for servers, computers, printers, firewalls & other equipment.
  • Hardware/software installations at various dental practices as needed including network cabling, installation of servers, computers, tv's, printers. wireless access points, etc.
  • Ensure backups and remote monitoring of client assets.
  • Respond to client tickets in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Follow up with doctor’s office to ensure customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with Windows-based servers, systems, and software, including Server 2019, 2022, 2025 and Windows 11.
  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot remote connectivity, including routers, RDP, VPN, etc.
  • Experience with network cabling and proficiency with all areas of networking TCP\IP.
  • Understanding of virtual machines.
  • Physical ability to lift and install computers, monitors, wall and ceiling-mounted monitor arms, TV's, wireless access points, printers, etc.
  • Excellent customer service, reporting, follow through, and time management skills.
  • Some out of area/state travel may be required.
  • Experience within the Cybersecurity realm is a huge plus!
