Job Description:

Crowe’s Audit IT Assurance group offers two alignments within the practice, depending on your educational background: 1) Accounting/CPA-track, or 2) Technical. We will determine your alignment during the interview process. While all positions fall within the same practice under the Audit IT Assurance umbrella, we align those with more technical majors (ex: MIS, cybersecurity, digital security, computer science, etc.) under the Technical track. For those pursuing both accounting/CPA-track and technical majors, again, we will determine the best alignment during the interview process.

Finance, Accounting, CPA-Track Majors

Joining Crowe's IT Assurance practice is an to interact with client leadership, understand the IT environments that are transforming the way we do business today, and help provide assurance that controls are operating the way they should. From day one, you will be a part of a team that is looking to transform the way we perform audits through the use of technology, learn about industry standards that help define and secure our clients’ control environments, and make recommendations to help them maintain compliance with applicable standards as required within the industry they operate.

Qualifications:

We are seeking college seniors or grad students, pursuing degrees in one of the following preferred majors (or similar):

  • Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Information Systems Auditing and Control
  • Management/Computer Information Systems
  • Informatics
  • A focus on IT auditing, security, and/or specific technologies would be beneficial but is not required

Candidates must:

  • Have strong academic credentials
  • Pursuing CPA-eligibility (150 credit hours) by graduation
  • Be willing to travel
  • Have a desire to continue personal growth through continuing professional education, self-study, and pursuit of accounting and audit certifications
  • Be capable of independently managing time and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences, such as company officers (CEOs, CIOs, CFOs, COOs) and Audit Committees

Desirable Pre-requisite Knowledge:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact in team environment and foster client relationships
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Familiar with auditing concepts (e.g. controls testing) and basic knowledge of IT controls and security
  • Knowledge of security areas such as Auditing, Policy, Database Security, Firewall Design and Implementation, Risk Analysis, Identity Management, Access Management, or Web Services

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $62,000 - $100,000 per year.
