Hire Type: Full Time

Pay: Commensurate with experience

Work Schedule: Typically, 8am โ€“ 5pm, Monday โ€“ Friday;On-call rotation required with potential after-hours support offirewalls and incidents. Work is performed onsite and inโ€‘person.

Export Compliance Requirement: This position requires accessto EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required tobe eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and mustmeet the requirement of being a โ€œU.S. Citizenโ€.

Job Story

This cross functional role requires coordination with technicalmanagers, system administrators, application owners, softwaredevelopers, infrastructure, service delivery, and IT management tomonitor and control company networks. Collaboration with corporatesecurity and infrastructure and networking teams worldwide is keyfor this role. The is a WSU position in partnership with, and worklocation at, Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS.

Job Summary

Implements secure networking solutions to meet compliancerequirements. Works within and supports IT projects andinitiatives. Ensures least privilege is followed and networks aresecured from unauthorized devices and excessive access, with anyexceptions properly scoped and defined. Collaborates with internaland external partners to understand technical and businessrequirements and to deliver solutions.

Essential Functions
  • Setup, maintenance, and ongoing configuration of firewalls (e.g.,Palo Alto and Cisco).
  • Manages vulnerability and lifecycle for patching and firmwareupgrades of supported devices
  • Adheres to change control procedures
  • Contributes to network security architecture and strategy
  • Performs device discovery, identification, and inventory withConfiguration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Enforcement of least privilege network access
  • Participation in network isolation and segmentation projects
  • Provides troubleshooting and user support with traffic analysis andother efforts
  • Management and support of incidents and outages.
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience in the Cyber Security Field anddemonstrated experience with debug and with firewallconfiguration
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Self-driven and highly motivated team player that can perform in afast-changing business environment.
  • Diverse knowledge and experience in networks, firewalls, operatingsystems, applications, and databases.
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate with technical andnon-technical users.
  • Ability to use common tools including, but not limited to,wireshark, nmap, traceroute, splunk, etc.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts andprotocols
  • Understanding of informational and operational technology (IT/OT)and zero trust concepts
