Job Description:

Processes the organization's human resource information using the most efficient and cost-effective computer systems and applications.

Responsible for providing business and technical knowledge to the HRIS group by leveraging technology to enable the streamlining of Human Resources processes and the administration of plans and programs. Researches, analyzes, designs and maintains information systems in support of HR administration and projects.

Monitors HR information needs and designs new or modifies existing systems to meet changing requirements (including the HR web site). Contributes to ensure that systems data are accurate, timely and secure to provide the foundation for processing and reporting. Provides learning opportunities for other team members as well as identifies, develops, communicates and delivers training to end-users.

Successfully coordinates/leads moderately complex HR and HRIS projects to obtain desirable results that produce process improvements or streamlined procedures.

Benchmark HR initiatives by networking with utility companies and local corporations to allow HR leadership to make sound decisions.

Create and lead focus groups to ensure HR initiatives meet client goals, expectations, and gather buy-in.

Serve as a primary contact for HRIS and acts as an internal consultant by providing HRIS and technical knowledge to investigate, analyze, and recommend/implement process improvements. Provide technological and system work tools, knowledge, and consulting assistance to HR to ensure processes and procedures are functionally accurate, timely, efficient, cost effective and properly documented.

Helps in the development of standards and procedures to ensure efficient and cost effective methods of delivering core HR services.

Ensure the accuracy of the HRMS database by providing audits and processes to increase data integrity. Work with data owners to ensure data integrity is a critical factor in decision making.

Provide input to the strategy, upgrade/ implementation, operation, and usage of HRIS and other technologies.

Design, create and develop HR website pages (by writing html as well as partnering with IT, HR personnel and end-users) to create and maintain an informative and useful website that pushes information to the employee/manager desktops.

Help identify and anticipate HR needs and the software functionality/products to fulfil these needs. Makes alterations to existing programs to gather and report data, as needed. Identifies end-users to define requirements and test HRIS upgrades.

Assists in the operation of the department/division by creating sophisticated and customized ad-hoc queries and reporting tools to obtain valuable information for HR and other internal customers.

Desired Skills:

The responsibilities of this role are to provide functional expertise for implementation of PeopleSoft HCM's Manager Self Service module.

They must possess a general understanding of standard HR processes and practice as well as have deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2. In addition, the individual will be required to participate in process review, design, configuration, and testing.

They will be expected to provide guidance and recommendations and assist with the development of any functional specifications, test scripts, configuration and design guides where required.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

 Knowledge of a broad spectrum of HR policies and practices and PeopleSoft HRMS is desired.

 The incumbent should demonstrate competencies in organization, gap analysis, data analysis, critical thinking, problem solving, open communication and project management to achieve joint objectives, and technical knowledge in system and process design.

 The incumbent keeps abreast of new trends in HR operations and information technology.

Education/Experience:

 This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 -7 years of relevant, successful experience (HR or systems-related). Additional education (such as a Master's degree) could be exchanged for years of experience.
