Job description

Job Purpose
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing first-level technical support to employees. This position tracks problem reports, trouble tickets, and employee requests, escalating issues to the appropriate resources as needed. The position requires the ability to communicate advanced technical knowledge in a simple and understandable way, ensuring that employee technical issues are resolved as expeditiously as possible.
Because of the rapid changes in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence technologies within the company, this role provides an opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies and advance within the organization.
The IT Infrastructure Engineer will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees who need technical assistance via phone or email
  • Serve as a liaison with senior engineering staff
  • Assist with cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects
  • Assist with the implementation, support, and administration of AI-enabled technologies and tools
  • In due time, assume responsibility for supporting cloud infrastructure and security
  • Create and maintain user accounts
  • Set up and configure user workstations and telephones
  • Perform troubleshooting using different diagnostic techniques
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Provide timely resolutions and excellent customer service
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate level of support
  • Provide information and guidance on IT products and services
  • Maintain records of problems and their resolutions
  • Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order
  • Assist with the setup and operation of equipment for meetings and conferences

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a similar relevant field, or applicable professional certifications.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure is preferred
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and generative AI technologies is desirable but not required
  • In-depth knowledge of computer systems and mobile devices
  • Good understanding of basic networking concepts
  • Strong familiarity with Active Directory management tools
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams telephony and conferencing is preferred
  • Point of contact for Audio-Visual issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Interest in learning emerging cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and AI technologies

Travel: None
Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the course of the year. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
